Slash on a VPS (Virtual Private Server)

posted by Krow on 05:08 AM October 4th, 2002   Printer-friendly   Email story
Does anyone have experience running Slash on a VPS. I use one of these Virtual Private Servers (running FreeBSD) that companies like Verio, Interland and many others offer. You have what might be called 'virtual root'.

  • LRSE Hosting does all hosting on VPS servers, running FreeBSD 4.5. As I understand it, it was necessary for our primary Slash Admin (Flikx [slashcode.com]) to make some minor code changes to get it to run correctly.
