Apache 1.3.19 Config File

posted by Krow on 06:32 PM July 26th, 2001   Printer-friendly   Email story
Anonymous Coward writes "Hi, Does anyone know of a config file for apache 1.3.19 on debian 2.2 that i could use instead of the default config file that comes with slashcode 1.0.9. this is more for convenience that i needn't recompile mod_perl everytime i have to upgrade apache. thanks."

I think when you recompile Apache it keeps your old config file if there was one in the install directory........

It would be easy to copy and paste the relevant parts of the config file. However, the problem is that you must recompile Apache to include mod_perl as a static module. Some perl modules that Slash uses just don't work if you have mod_perl included as a DSO.

Yes, I've discovered that by painful experience, but is there a reason for that?
