Slashsite Ad Rotation/Management

jazzit writes "I am looking for an ad rotation/management package to use with a Slash site. Looking around it seems that adcycle, webverts get the most mention, and there is also mod_adbanners. Instead of the "dreaded" which package is best for slash sites, Are there any advantages/disadvantages to these packages ? Which is most suited for use with Slash ?"

  • From my fairly limited experimentation, I think mod_adbanners works reasonably well. I haven't put it into production yet though. (Well it's compiled into my production web server but I haven't enabled it in production sites.)

IIRC it is what ALL of OSDN's sites use, including Slashcode and Slashdot. That should say something.

  • From my experience, it's cheap, and it works.

I have also been checkng out banner ad software and would like to look these over. After a bit of digging I found adcycle at adcycle.com (obvious) but can't seem to find IIRC. All I keep running into are Internet Relay Chats, and internet recruiting.

Anyone have a URL?? Or is it embeded in SlashCode?
