It's hard to find free slash sites, due to the rescourse intensitivity of slash and numerous other reasons. Slash is installed through a shell, this shell needs to have cpan access which is restricted to root (maybe superuser?). If you are going to get root on a server, it's not going to be free. I believe slash also runs off of a daemon process, this means (once again) you have to have higher level access privelages to add a cronjob. Frankly, it's practically impossible to get a free host for a slash site.

Your best bet is to go to one of the numerous "slash hosts" which already run the slash daemon and are cheaper than getting a dedicated or colocated server.

    A list of some of these hosts is: [] [] [] [] []

That's all I can think of.
