Anonymous Coward writes "I've just returned to two slashcode sites - /. and nanodot - after a ~5 months of absence / highly infrequent reading to discover I had Meta-moderation on both. My karma is at respectable levels but hardly atmospheric. This looks like an emergent property of the M2 algorithm but I'm not sure if it's a good one.

The scenario I imagine is people with too much time on their hands karma-whoring their way to decent levels, then abandoning the accounts for a few months in order to end up with M2. Is this worth worrying about, intentional, unlikely, horrible?"
