  • Needless to say, as soon as I uploaded the script, I decided that it basicly sucked, so I made several improvements and just now updated the web-page. Here's the link again, for those of you to lazy to hit the "Back" button and click on it there: shell script [crosswinds.net]

As for the 19 vs 13, well, hmmm, ahhh....

OK, I just copied things from the INSTALL.debian file and didn't think to closely compare the lists. In fact, pudge has already flamed me for another issue related to my oversight.

  • Are you using Debian 2.2 or 2.1? I am trying to get Slash working on 2.2 without too much compiling, but I'm stuck in the apache configuration. Do you have a working httpd.conf file for apache 1.3.9? Could that be a part of your script?
  • Great script! Haven't got around to try it yet, but you might want to grab the newest tar-bal of slash, from the slashdot ftp. :) it's: slash-0.9.4.tar.gz, also weren't there more mod-perl libs, i've installed 19 and I count 13 in the script.

Ditto. I'd like to see it too. Cheers.
