Anonymous Coward writes "Any chance that Slash (or bender) is going to support the Badge project, which lets users put little graphic tags in their Slash sigs?"
Anyone want to write a plugin?

  • I don't know exactly how to describe it. After I submitted the original comment it looked like it should (submitted plain text, using the escape sequences for the brackets, etc.) except for copyrights instead of periods (This is NS4.73 on NT4).

I went back to check it (same machine and browser) about 10 minutes before the other AC comment and I swear I saw a 45X45 bordered broken-image icon. After I replied it was normal again and I have been unable to repeat the error.

  • Not sure what you mean ... what bug? The only reason I cn see why they would have shown up as copyright symbols is if that is how you entered them. Or do you mean something else? Is some browser trying to actually display the image?

  • <img src="http://goatse©cx/hello©jpg" height=45 width=45 border=1>

Note I'm saing that this probably wouldn't be a good thing for /© to do, although some sites could use it for a short while, at least until someone discovers that the right image is worth a thousand hurls©

  • Wow. That's pretty funny actually. I used the html ampersand-lt-semicolon things instead of the tags specifically so it would display the tag test instead of rendering it, and what does netscape try to do just now? Thank GOD that all my periods got converted into copyrights. One bug looks out for another sometimes :-)
  • Yeah, I know. Every idiot out there would be posting links to goatse et all.

But, you'd have to be registered, because the .sig's only included if you're logged in. So no AC's could use it.
