I use redhat for my slashstuff. Did you install a new perl?
If so - from RPM or source?
Did you remove the old one?
I generally remove any perl/mysql/apache/php crap that's installed on the box, grab new of all the tarballs, and then install it all that. Then install CPAN and install all the perl modules.
same has been true with debian; that mod_perl wasn't working just right, so i've been installing from src tarballs. i keep hoping that one day it will work, and plan to try it out with testing and unstable in the forseeable future...
