  i've run as many as 2 dozen slash sites on the same server. i now tend to distribute them over many servers, but certainly its possible to run quite a few on just one box. two issues you'd have to deal with however are the use of ram (each new slashd uses a fair bit) and cpu. the cpu is not as bad as the ram, but when you start up slash, it can drive the load up pretty high at first, but it goes down relatively quickly. nonetheless it was quite easy to run multiple slash sites on the same box/server.

    The method that uses sections does not incrase the memory footprint of your site like adding another site does.
