So how exactly did you go about fixing perl to make it work for you?

  I didn't really have to fix Perl. I just had to copy some misplaced Perl modules so that they could be found in the include directories.

      Well, what modules does it say you're missing? I don't remember exactly which ones I had to copy from where to where to get it to find them.
