I'd leave this job to the MTA (Mail Transport Agent), sendmail, postfix, whatever. It should be their job to look for aliases in a MySQL table, in this case users from the slash database.

Ok. I'm looking over those instructions, and do you think I should point postfix at the Slash users db, or I should setup slash to write user email info to a seperate db and point postfix to that db?
