Even if the show is gone, slash releases can still be named after characters from said show. Think about it, how many new characters do they add in the first place?
There's enough material for naming slash releases well through slash20.4.32-ac45.. and I don't see slashcode hitting Emacs-like levels of release numbers any time soon.
On the other hand, might I suggest the next available codename slot be named as 'slurm'.
