Since I've always had my Slash site hosted, I never had to experience the pain of install.. so I tried it for kicks.
The install directions do work!;)

PS Just got my copy of "Running Weblogs with Slash". Very well done guys! It answers some basic questions I've had all along. It should be required reading for all Slash users. I recommended getting a copy (although I somehow managed to install Slash prior to getting my copy).
