Slashd is definitely running, and the stories are archived when they should be. What I want is for the archived stories to appear in the older stuff block. What is the mechanizism by which this happens? What variables and/or database fields influence this?
Archiving makes no difference afaik. That's not the way it works. I'll repeat my 2) again as that sounds like it might be it

It's the number that counts, not the age or archive status
There are 21 archived stories. I can access them by clicking on Older Stuff and doing a word search for the word "the". Again, what I want to know is the mechanizism by which this block is updated and how to modify its behavior.
