Most of the work that CTDATA [] cannot be cut-and-pasted directly into Slash 1.0x. We hope to port our enhancements to Bender as that code becomes the distribution of choice. However, we have made a couple of mail enhancements to our version. These include:
    • Addition of a weekly option to the headline mailer (useful for community building).
    • Significant enhancement to the log report daily mailer (we are still based on the legacy 0.3 distro, so we use the log facility that was part of it).
We are currently working on adding the submission queue functionality from 1.0x (logical deletion, viewing disposition of submissions) to our code base. We are planning to add a mechanism that allows us to mail submitted stories back to the submittor with comments, so that they can modify and resubmit. This benefits our customers on corporate Intranets who use Slash as a knowledge management system / document repository.

Upon completion of that feature, we intend to implement "send this story to a friend". It will be easy to do after we write the function to return story submissions with comments because most of the required code will be written already.

If you want to see our code when it's done, let me know and I will send you a copy with a brief explanation of the coding differences between 0.3-0.4 and 1.0x. We do not make all of our Slash-like code available on because we are not intending to support this code once we can converge our enhancements with Bender.
