Two formerly fat engineers have created a website to help people learn the correct methods and principles of permanent weight loss. We are serious about answering your questions and seeing that you get results, having been there before and knowing how much it sucked. Yes, we know there are a lot of Twinkie-lovin', Coke swilling UNIX gurus reading this right now who need to get buff for the dates they don't have (yet) so head on over and check it out! ;)

We chose LRSE Hosting and they've been very responsive and know how to get things done. Three thumbs up! (yes, I'm a mutant)

  • It would be great if this could be updated. It's like nails on a chalkboard... Either I ran out of space for the title, or I'm on crack...likely both.
    • It's probably not you ;)

One thing I've noticed in Slash is that the submissions table imposes a max of 50 chars for the story title, while the actual story table allows for 100 chars. Not sure why the discrepancy exists, but the title of this article is exactly 50 chars without the trailing "s".

  • The file is ready for syndication. If you think your readers are interested in getting losing weight and staying in shape then try it out as a slashbox and see what they think. We post between 5 and 10 new articles daily. Also, I'd like to know how people have fared with syndicating their own news feeds. Any advice? I'm all ears.
    • Submitting your rdf/rss link to sites like Syndic8 [] and News Is Free [] are a good start. It also doesn't hurt to call attention to the syndicated links on your site, so interested users/visitors know about them.

I've got a Mozilla sidebar drop-in [] for Slash that can make your headlines easy to access for Moz/Netscape users. Colin Viebrock and I have been hammering out the design and trying to get it incorporated into Slash. Anything that helps give your readers easy access to your site will be welcomed, I'm s

      • Yup, it's on Syncdic8 and News Is Free now and I noticed someone already picked it up for their health section. Very cool. I had never heard of this feature before and I'll bet most net users are pretty clueless about it. It doesn't seem easy to receive the headlines right off the bat on your own. It's seems pretty site to site and you need the code in place to make it work. I will check out your sidebar now...I'll be a little sleepy on my flight to Nova Scotia tomorrow.
