Some of you may already know where Naples, Florida is. Some of you may have even had the pleasure of visiting us. For those of you who don't, allow me to describe it. Naples is a small town located in South West Florida. The weather is warm and the beaches are very white. We don't have the same problems here as most communities have like murder and rape. Sure we get the occasional incident but usually nothing out of the ordinary.

After doing some poking around in the source code for the Zune's clock driver (available free from the Freescale website), I found the root cause of the now-infamous Zune 30 leapyear issue that struck everyone on New Year's Eve. The Zune's real-time clock stores the time in terms of days and seconds since January 1st, 1980.
